Here’s a closer look at the Christmas The Literary Book Club….

The first thing you see when you open your The Literary Book Club box is the beautiful envelope complete with wax seal. Tucked inside is a note that tells us our product list is at the bottom of the box and that we are to wait until we have opened all the gifts before we read it.

Calla Edition of A Christmas Carol

Oh my goodness…….how gorgeous is this edition of A Christmas Carol?! And it’s the perfect selection for a Christmas themed box.

I’m slowly starting to think about what Christmas traditions I would like to start for little Steven and how fun would it be to get this book out on December 1st each year, display it on one of his shelves and read a few pages each night before bed? Then when he is older, I can gift the copy to him and he can continue the tradition with his children.

While You Read

They always include a little gift for us to enjoy while we read the book. So here we have some hot chocolate – the perfect companion for a Christmas read.

And maybe an idea for our new Christmas tradition? A cup of hot chocolate each night while we snuggle up and read from the book?

Art Print

They also include a gorgeous print in each box and it always complements the book.

Continuing with my Christmas tradition idea…..I could frame this print and when I take out the book on December 1st and put it on display in Steven’s room I can place this print beside it. I’m picturing a cute little wall shelf that I can decorate with the book, print, a tiny Christmas tree and his favorite Christmas stuffy.

Here we have some little goodies – book plate, bookmark, magnet.

We will use the bookmark to keep our place in the book after we read a few pages each evening.

They also included this “Early Bird Bonus Gift”  – a booklight and bookmark in one!

Page 4

On page 4 we get to open up this adorable little Bah Humbug candle. It says “smells like Christmas morning and second chances.”

I could light this each evening as we read from the book. It will make for such a cozy wintery atmosphere.

Page 75

On page 75 we get to open our next gift – Christmas Pudding flavoured popcorn. Such a fun item to receive (popcorn is my weakness) and it goes with the book perfectly.

Page 93

On page 93 we get to open up this gift – The Man Who Invented Christmas. Maybe this is something we can read each December along with A Christmas Carol.

When The Last Page Has Been Read

And when the last page has been read we get to open up our final gift – Storiarts Book Scarf.

I had to look this item up on the Storiarts website because I’ve never seen anything like it. Such a fun idea! It’s a luxurious infinity scarf featuring text from the book itself (A Christmas Carol).

The Literary Book Club Review: Christmas Box 2021

Oh my goodness…..The Christmas Box from The Literary Book Club is absolutely perfect! Opening this box was exactly what I needed You all know life has been crazy for me the last few weeks and I desperately needed a little Christmas happiness. This box has filled me with excitement as it has given me the perfect idea for a new Christmas tradition. Steven won’t appreciate the tradition until next year when he is a little older, but for now…..I am going to set aside a few moments at the end of each day (from now until the end of the month) light my candle, make myself a cozy drink, nibble on some popcorn and read a few pages from this gorgeous book. Thank you The Literary Book Club for putting together such an amazing Christmas themed box!
